film: Dosije X Nikakva tajna neće biti otkrivena, a pošto serija ide svaki dan možete primetiti sve fraze iz serije. Bolje pogledati dve vezane epizode serije, nego gledati film. Puno rupa... Stvarno dobra fora (ne znam da li namerno ili slučajno) je kada su Skali preveli kao "Sutra moram da idem na konsultacije u SPO."

# Hitno # mi treba film BRACA KARAMAZOVI Pazi, ovako, sine: Tih ekranizacija imaš više komada, a najpoznatije su ti jedna epska ruska (sovjetska) i jedna američka (ako se dobro sećam, bio je Jul Briner, možda Toni Kertis ???), ali ti i ja (mada možda dosta kasno), preporučujem da čitaš knjigu. Veruj mi, nekad je najbrže i najbezbolnije uraditi upravo to. U ovom konkretnom slučaju zato što je to Dostojevski (ne veruj glupostima da je to teška i dosadna literatura - tip naprosto otkida od zapleta, šema, dijaloga...), a i zato što je ruska verzija pomalo dosadna, a američka je svedena na love story i frku oko ribe (sa njom teško da bi ikome, a pogotovo profanu, prodao da si knjigu ČITAO). I naravno, mislim da NIGDE nećeš naći bilo koju od ovih verzija, jer bi to morao da čuva neki žešći filmofil, a takav se neće naložiti na tu maglu.

Tuckwood radi redovno, i svakom bih preporucio da iskoristi ovaj "ratni popust" da iskusi najbolji zvuk koji se ikada mogao cuti u nekom nasem bioskopu... Pre nedelju dana sam prvi put bio tamo, gledao sam "Dve cadjave dvocevke" u sali "Merilin Monroe". Ulaznice su 20 dinara, termina ima stvarno mnogo, pa ti savetujem da konsultujes novine, a od filmova koji se daju jedini vredan pomena je "Dve cadjave dvocevke" (to je barem moje skromno misljenje). Kao što svi znate, 19. ovoga meseca je održana premijera Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace... O kvalitetu samog filma ne smem da govorim, pošto isti nisam gledao, ali sam imao priliku da pročitam novelizaciju (pisac Teri Bruks, koji je pisao Mač od Šanare) i ilustrovani scenario. :) Elem, znam da ovo nisu mali oglasi, ali bio bih voljan da prodam novelizaciju nekome (hardcover, na engleskom...) kako bih imao sa kim da pričam o filmu pre nego što se pojavi kod nas. (ako se ikada pojavi ;>) Elem, zainteresovani mogu da mi se jave na mail... Ah da... Knjiga u USofA košta 25 dolara...

Malo više truda i sve bi to izgledalo bolje.

Dir: Stanley Kubrick. by Alexander Walker A young blonde girl in a black sheath dress stands there - back to us. Suddenly, with some hidden movement, she lets the dress slither to her ankles and is brazenly revealed nude. Almost before we've time to register that this is Nicole Kidman, the screen turns black. As if an eyelid had closed, or a shutter descended in one of those sex-shop peepshows. Such is the startling image that opens Stanley Kubrick's 13th - and last - film, Eyes Wide Shut. Exposure and denial; invitation and retreat: this extraordinary movie's recurring motif is encapsulated in the nudity of its female star. Kubrick died in March, barely a week after finishing it. It has its world premiere in New York on 16 July. Whatever the reaction - and Kubrick films, on first viewing, always generate controversy - few will deny this excursion into the erotic is the strangest path taken by a film-maker whose themes often included the world and the devil, but hitherto omitted the flesh. He has cast Kidman and her off-screen husband Tom Cruise as his protagonists in a story of how an apparently happily married couple, rich, successful New Yorkers, the sort we call the "Beautiful People", are set at odds with each other by their dreams and fantasies. Though set in the condo apartments and richly decorated town houses of Fifth Avenue around Christmas, as well as in mean prostitutes' pads and sinister cafes lit by light from hell, the story derives from the 19th century Vienna of Arthur Schnitzler, who wrote the minor classic Traumnovelle, on which Kubrick and Frederic Raphael base their screenplay. The movie derives its strange atmosphere from this feeling of contemporary America overlaid by fin de siŔcle decadence. Casting a couple of married superstars was a masterstroke of cinematic diplomacy. As the film begins with Cruise and Kidman dressing for a night out, our eyes, far from being shut, are wide open for the conjugal signals that pass between a real-life couple as well as their characters, Dr William and Alice Harford. No "getting to know you" approach is needed: no introductions. In their elegant apartment, its walls hung with paintings that cognoscenti will recognise as the work of Christiane Kubrick and her daughter Katharina, Cruise and Kidman behave with the unconcerned intimacy of a couple well used to one of them (her) using the loo while the other (him) straightens his black tie in the bathroom mirror. For a Kubrick film, the mood is light and elegant: a dance orchestra is on the sound track. Gradually, though, as they arrive at a gloriously lit mansion - its walls so hung with Christmas lights that they are dissolved into radiant veils of light - we become aware that we're edging away from reality. Tipsy from the champagne, Kidman places the glass on a console. An elegant older man reaches out, coolly appropriates it and drains it as if planting a kiss on her surprised mouth, then engages her in badinage that sows the seed of erotic fantasy in her fertile imagination. Cruise, too, has been waylaid by temptation: a couple of flirtatious bimbos, one on each arm, draw him off. Kubrick now raises the odds in the game of love, adultery and copulation that was the perennial pastime of the Hapsburg Empire, and here exercises its sexual pull on this young couple. A girl ODs on drugs in the bathroom and the host, played by Sydney Pollack with the manner of one of those pugnacious millionaire tycoons from the pages of the Forbes 500 set, begs Cruise to help with the emergency. Eyes Wide Shut's title connotes a spellbound state - the mood of a waking dream. In the immaculate bathroom - a setting used by Kubrick in the past for the spectral revenants of The Shining and the suicidal marine of Full Metal Jacket - Cruise becomes enamoured of the beautiful druggie girl and her brush with death. In this film the sex drive and the death wish run in parallel lines, always threatening to meet. But the film's most complex sequence - and one that raises Cruise and Kidman to the summit achievements of their acting career to date - occurs on their return home. After smoking a little pot to relax themselves, Bill and Alice quiz each other about the partners that fate has just cast in their way. Their verbal foreplay takes a perilous detour. From erotic tenderness, signalled by his sensual caresses of her, their mutual questioning veers over the white line of conjugal correctness. Each finds out more than he or she wants to know about the other. Is he aroused by female nudity while examining his patients, Alice asks Bill. He protests: sex may be too near to death for comfort. (Later on, in a morgue, he'll kiss a dead woman and discover the taboo pleasure of necrophilia.) Kidman defiantly asks: "Haven't you ever been jealous of me?" He stumbles fatally. "I know you would never be unfaithful." Such propriety is too close to proprietor-ship. In seconds, the marriage has become a state of mutual enmity. Kidman, clad only in panties and paper-thin camisole, reveals an act of infidelity she committed with a sailor. Kubrick's direction awards her the scene - Cruise generously listens, while she ejaculates a woman's need to be her own sexual self in what sound like puffs of pure emotion. It is one of the most astonishing performances this director and this actress have ever constructed together. Shortly after finishing her role, Kidman appeared on the London stage in David Hare's The Blue Room, and won well-earned plaudits for the sexual candour with which she conducted herself, naked and unashamed, in what was coincidentally a modern adaptation of another work by Schnitzler. Her performance possibly owed much to the months she spent on Kubrick's set, in the belly and brain of a similar role. From this point on, Eyes Wide Shut elects to follow Cruise on the rebound from his wife's unanticipated sexual revelation. Further stimulated by making a house-call on a patient whose father has just died and finding her planting a voluptuous kiss on his mouth, he wanders around Lower Manhattan - wondrously recreated in every neon-lit detail on the back lot at Pinewood Studios - and accepts a come-hither from a prostitute. Stimulated even further by her, and liberated from rectitude by the thoughts of his wife's sex act with a stranger - which Kubrick inserts subliminally in his mind, thus giving us an even more erotic look at Kidman's strangely sculptural figure engrossed in copulation - he succeeds in getting himself smuggled into an out-of-town convocation of New York's rich and famous who indulge in sex games under the cover of cloaks and Venetian masks. EYES Wide Shut does not always work successfully when it tries to find a modern analogue for Schnitzler's decadence. Opinion will be divided over how erotic, or how phoney it is to see the well-heeled but otherwise totally naked guests copulating with women in every corner of the cavernous rooms. Cruise's masquerade is detected and he escapes from being stripped and possibly murdered only through the intervention of a masked woman who saves him from his inquisitors with the ambiguous promise of "redemp-tion". Kubrick is on securer, less melodramatic ground when the husband, chastened but still in heat, returns to his wife, only to discover that she has had a dream that intersects with his own exciting but dangerous sexual odyssey. Eyes Wide Shut is not a film that ends in easy answers or even reassuring certainties. The couple in it survive, but not unchanged. Like other Kubrick films before it, it throws interpretation on to the viewer and makes one realise that a single screening may not reveal all the signs and meanings necessary to follow the transgressive path of its protagonists and divine the Freudian role that dreams play in wrecking and then reconciling their married life. But even at its most baffling, it is an astonishing work made with masterly control and at the same time a humanity that this director's detractors have insisted he did not possess. That may be the final triumph Stanley Kubrick enjoys: the posthumous satisfaction of the performances his quality direction has coaxed out of Cruise and Kidman who, for the first time, seem to be acting without relying on the safety-curtain of their stardom for protection. Gledao sam Star Wars Episode I (naravno pirat iz bioskopa :) Za one koje zele da procitaju evo ukratko mojih utisaka. Globalni utisak: nije lose, a kamoli dobro. U stvari, prilicno losije od druga tri dela. Nije lose, jer to je ipak Star Wars, stara ekipa, stari zvuci, prelazi sa kadra na kadar, ok prica, dobri glumci (pogotovu ona mala iz Leona koja vise nije mala :), cak i par starih - novih likova (Obi Van, mali Anakin, Imperator, r2d2, c3p0, porodica Hut...). S vremena na vreme me je aktuelnost price zaista podsecala na ovo sranje koje nam se desava (prvo cemo da ih osvojimo, pa cemo vodju planete da nateramo da potpise dokument koji ce sve to da legalizuje), sa pomalo izostavljanjem crno - belog prikaza iz druga tri dela. Da ne ulazim u detalje... Nije ni dobro, jer se Lucas previse sluzio sistemom da glavni glumac bude 100 umrezenih Sillicon Graphicsa. Pored malo ljudskih glumaca (zaista malo), ostalo su sve animirani likovi (cak i onaj Liza koji je jedan od glavnih glumaca). Moram da napomenem da je ipak jedna od glavnih prednosti druge tri epizode to sto je Lucas koristio gotovo sve zive glumce, dok du ostalo bile lutke. Nekako mi je lepse da vidim Stormtrooper-a nego animiranog robota vojnika. Zatim, tu je preterano glupiranje u fazonu Disney-a (kao onaj Edi - zmaj iz Mulana), ali mnogo losije izvedeno. To predstavlja previse naglasena nespretnost i glupiranje one amfibije Lize. Zaista nesimpaticno. Dinamika filma je mnogo iza 4,5 i 6 epizode. Nisam uspeo da vidim ko je radio reziju, verovatno Lucas, ali za scenario sam siguran da je njegov. Mislim da je trebalo da nekome drugom to prepusti. Film traje 2h07, treba ga pogledati, ali ne verujem da ce dostici slavu svojih prethodnika. Toliko. Legolas Greenleaf :)

Priča je dosta šuplja, pravolinijska, mestimično gnjila, patetična i vrrrrlo providna. Lepo se vidi šta ostaje od "Rata zvezda" kad iz njega iščupaš Darta Vejdera, oko čijeg lika se vrte svi prethodni (sledeći?) nastavci. Film je čista zloupotreba kompjutera u kvazi-umetničke svrhe, tako da sam ponekad imao utisak da gledam nekakav novi "Toy Story". Naročito me iritira translacija priče u prošlost, jer to smanjuje uzbudljivost i neizvesnost onoga što dolazi. Lepo znaš da Anakin Skajvoker mora da postane Džedaj, da će Obi Van Kenobi morati da sredi onog crnog viteza, da će... ma ima toga koliko hoćeš. Tako je Asimov pisao svoje "Zadužbine", ali ja i dalje volim samo prve tri knjige iz serijala. Od svega su ipak najodrvatniji oni smešni, čačkaličasti roboti koji se raspadaju na prvi dodir i kojima ni stotinu najboljih kompjutera ne uspeva da ulije izgled dostojan (straho)poštovanja. One čike u belim, plastičnim oklopima bile su kudikamo bolje izdizajnirane. > Film traje 2h07, treba ga pogledati, ali ne verujem da ce dostici > slavu svojih prethodnika. Zato će, za utehu, dostići pare svojih prethodnika. Film na blagajni ima prolazno vreme bolje od "Titanika". A kad smo već kod filmova iz videoteke, treba OBAVEZNO pogledati oba aktuelna filma braće Watchowsky (tako nekako, izvinte ako sam pogrešno spelovao): 1) "Bound", odličan triler sa Đinom Geršon :) 2) "Matrix" vrrrrrlo intrigantan, bogato dizajnirani SF, kudikamo vredniji gledanja od pomenutog Lukasovog filma) sa Keanu Rivsom i Fišburnom u glavnim ulogama. Oba filma su sjajno ocenjena od strane publike i mene :) (recimo, na www.imdb.com prvi film je završio sa odličnih 7.9 a drugi sa neverovatnih 8.5). Ako ništa drugo, zapamtite ko su režiseri - izgleda da će se o braći još čuti.

They go after the bad guy or whatever. Who cares? Finally DARTH MAUL shows up for a prolonged fight sequence. Darth wears black boots, a black cloak, a black shirt, has a red lightsaber, wears red and black face paint, and has horns. He is EVIL. Meanwhile, the Naboo people go after this one insignificant guy and we really don't care. Meanwhile, the Gungans go against a bunch of droids and we really don't care except we want the Gungans to die. Meanwhile, Anakin takes off into space to join the space-battle, which is mostly over by the time he arrives. We care a little bit. INT. SOME KIND OF THINGY WITH SOME RED FORCE FIELDS MAUL, LIAM, and EWAN all have a huge lightsaber battle which has had a lot of effort put into the choreography and is thousands of times better than any other lightsaber battle in a Star Wars film. AUDIENCE Whoa! This is really cool! Suddenly, we go back to one of the other three stupid battles going on at the time. Eventually, we return to the good one. DARTH MAUL (menacing as hell) Grrr. Eventually, MAUL stabs LIAM, which is very surprising, especially to those of us who bought the film score which has a song whose title gives away the ending. He then kicks EWAN into a shaft. EWAN grabs onto something on the side and holds on for dear life. EWAN MCGREGOR Well, you certainly are an experienced fighter and there is little question you could kick pretty much anyone's ass. DARTH MAUL Muahahahaha. Slowly, EWAN uses the force to grab LIAM'S lightsaber, jump up out of the shaft, over MAUL, press the button on the saber, and slice MAUL in half while MAUL stands there like an idiot and does nothing at all. He dies. EXT. SPACE JAKE LLOYD Whoaaaaa! I'm in space! Now this is pod racing! Yipee! Uh oh! Man, I'm so cute. JAKE goes into a hangar, where the main reactor for the ship is kept. He accidentally blows it to SHIT. JAKE LLOYD (cont'd) Uh oh! I better leave! Let's leave Artoo! They exit quickly. The ship explodes, which stops all the droids and just makes everything great, because it's always enjoyable when a serious conflict is resolved with a slapstick accident. EXT. THE STREETS OF NABOO The Gungans are dancing and such, still alive. A huge party ensues. AUDIENCE Wow! Watching this party and all this celebration has convinced me that the tiny, pathetic problem that has been taken care of is actually really significant! Hooray! Suddenly, the AUDIENCE realizes that behind all the mindless celebration and kiddie cartoon bullshit, what actually happened was the future-emperor has actually manipulated everything, come into great power, and that one tiny problem has actually been resolved, but thousands more have been created. GEORGE LUCAS Three years, suckers. I'd make them come out sooner, but I work very hard on my films, as I am an independent filmmaker due to my disgust with Hollywood's commercialism. Phantom Menace... Ja sam još 19. maja čitao scenario. (kompletnu verziju) Bio sam užasno razočaran rasizmom, glupošću, objašnjenjem da je Anakin maltene Isus koji je krenuo pogrešnim putem, objašnjenjem da je sila maltene virus, činjenicom da je scenario pisan za mlađe od 13 godina itd... Iz principa film nisam gledao mada ga već desetak dana ima po našim video klubovima, možda ću ga gledati kad se pojavi u bioskopu... Iz samog scenarija se vidi da jedino što je zanimljivo mogu da budu trka na Tatuinu (po kojoj je napravljena sjajna igra: Star Wars: Episode I - racer, Wipeout stil, samo bolje :) i završna borba između Qui-Gona, Obi-Wana i Darth Maula. Po onome što sam čitao na Internetu, samo to i jeste zabavno i zanimljivo... Još da Darth Maul nije poginuo, nego da se to desilo "Lizi"... Sve u svemu, otvorena uvreda za sve SW fanove. No, ko zna, možda će treći deo biti ok. Smrt svih 10000 trenutno aktivnih Džedaja (-Yoda, -Obi-Wan), Palpatine postaje imperator, Anakin postaje Darth... Time will tell... ;)

"South Park," the moronic yet disturbingly addictive blend of "Peanuts" and "Beavis and Butt-head" that won viewers' inner delinquents on television, is making its first big-screen foray. And, wonder of wonders, if you get past the fact that it's juvenile and utterly profane, "South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut" is both smart and wildly funny _ far better than "Basketball," the previous cinematic "effort" of Trey Parker and Matt Stone. A little background for the uninitiated: "South Park" debuted on TV in 1997, chronicling the lives of four dysfunctional kids with Charlie Brown heads and thick parkas who live in a Colorado mountain town. There is Stan, who throws up whenever he talks to Wendy, the girl he loves; Kyle, who's constantly being picked on for being Jewish; Eric Cartman, who's overweight _ "big-boned," he insists _ and favors Cheesy Poofs and dirty jokes; and Kenny, whose words you can't understand and who dies horribly in each episode. Together they wend their way through life, dealing with bad school lunches, telling toilet jokes and battling the occasional giant mechanical Barbra Streisand or bigfoot-type creature with Patrick Duffy's face for a foot. Not exactly family supper-table fare. It was controversial from the get-go. The movie debut is just as offensive, but it's also crack social commentary and a wonderful piece of theater of the absurd that plunders the cultural mosaic, citing everything from the Viewmaster to "The Diary of Anne Frank" to MGM blockbuster musicals of the 1930s. The premise: A profane Canadian comedy team called Terrance and Phillip comes out with a movie about flatulence. The kids go to see it and learn to swear, then spread their newfound knowledge around town. Parents are outraged, especially Kyle's mother. She helps form a group called "Mothers Against Canada" and urges President Clinton to arrest Terrance and Phillip, who are lured to America by an appearance on "Conan O'Brien" (voiced by Brent Spiner of "Star Trek: The Next Generation"). This leads to war _ with Canada. Alanis Morrisette albums are burned en masse. Bryan Adams is denounced. Terrance and Phillip are sentenced to execution. The Canadian army attacks _ with chainsaws. Meanwhile, Kenny dies horribly and goes to hell, where he learns that Satan, together with his sidekick Saddam, are plotting to take over the world. It's up to the South Park boys to stop Satan and save their "quiet little redneck mountain town." Not everyone will like this movie. Yes, it's a cartoon, but it's hardly for kids. And it's easy to be offended by, well, all the offensive subject matter. Yet woven within the muck are some worthwhile themes. The movie is virtually a musical, with the animated characters breaking into song at every turn. And the songs are actually good, in an MGM '30s kind of way: catchy and memorable even as they lampoon traditional musical comedies. Satan sings longingly of living on Earth; the boys vamp about "The Resistance" and sing about their admiration for Olympic medalist Brian Boitano Beyond that, "South Park," like all good anarchy comedy, actually has a plot _ and a point. It takes jabs at racism (an all-black platoon, led by the cafeteria cook "Chef" _ voiced by Isaac Hayes _ is sent into battle first as cannon fodder). It skewers government quick-fixes (executing Terrance and Phillip to make a statement about the link between popular culture and profanity). It even takes on war culture, offering fake Movietone newsreels and showing Canadians being rounded up and shipped to internment camps. It even introduces a V-chip implant that shocks a child whenever he swears; the foul-mouthed Cartman, of course, is the guinea pig. "I'm sorry _ I can't help myself," he quips. "That movie has warped my fragile little mind." In the end, no one is truly likable and few are admirable, and viewers are free to have fun with absolutely no attachment to anything. The "South Park" movie is certainly not cinema for the ages, but it's laugh-out-loud funny. FANTASY SAGA RINGS TYLER'S BELL Of all the casting reports to leak out about New Line's massive adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings, the latest seems bound to evoke the sharpest hue and cry among fans, at least at first blush: Liv Tyler, as, uh, we're not exactly sure who. But you can bet the British fans who were vocally dismayed by the casting of Elijah Wood and Sean Astin as Frodo Baggins and Sam Gamgee, the saga's hobbit heroes, won't like this one bit. Variety is reporting Tyler has been cast as the "Queen of the Fairies." There are no fairies, per se, in Tolkien's most famous work, and only four prominent female characters. Eowyn, the Lady of Rohan, is merely the niece of a king, and a human to boot. Arwen, the daughter of Elrond of Rivendell, is an elf, and becomes a queen at the very end of the saga, but is also the least-seen character of the four. That leaves two possibilities: Goldberry, the most fairy-like of the four, the "daughter of the River" and companion of Tom Bombadil; and the Lady Galadriel, a high elf and ruler (though not, strictly speaking, "queen") with the Lord Celeborn of the enchanted woodland realm of LothlĐrien. (Forgive us if we're speaking Greek. It will all make sense after you've seen the movies or, better yet, read the books.) Goldberry is almost entirely incidental to the story, appearing briefly in just two chapters. Galadriel is a figure of far greater significance, and seems the character most likely to be mistaken for the "Queen of the Fairies," so we're thinking that's probably the role Tyler has signed up for. (There exists, of course, the dismaying possibility that "Queen of the Fairies" is the twisted offspring of that dreaded process by which so many beloved books have become mediocre movies: adaptation. Here's hoping the A-word has been kind to Professor T.'s cherished opus.) Apparently Tyler's commitment to the scheduled nine-month Rings shoot was jeopardized by her planned involvement in Robert Altman's Dr. T and the Women, but New Line has reportedly arranged for her to take a three-week leave of absence mid-shoot so she can participate in both projects. The 22-year-old actress, daughter of Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler, was hailed as Hollywood's It Girl in 1996, the year she was the nubile object of Jeremy Irons' repressed affection in Bernardo Bertolucci's Stealing Beauty. She also turned heads that summer as the faithful girlfriend of the leader of the band in Tom Hanks' That Thing You Do!, and made a splash last year playing Armageddon's sole female character of note. She broke into the biz at the tender age of 17 by memorably appearing with Alicia Silverstone in the now-classic music video for Aerosmith's "Crazy." Production on the three-film shoot is scheduled to kick off in October in New Zealand. In addition to Tyler, the first female to join the production, the actors who've reportedly committed to the project so far are Elijah Wood (Frodo), Sean Astin (Sam), Ian McKellen (Gandalf), Ian Holm (Bilbo), Stuart Townsend (Aragorn), and Christopher Lee (Saruman). New Line has steadfastly refused to confirm any of the casting reports, explaining that it will make a full and official disclosure, with all due pomp and ceremony, once casting has been completed. New Zealander Peter Jackson is directing all three movies, working from a budget that's most often estimated at around $130 million. He collaborated on the lengthy screenplay adaptation with Fran Walsh, Phillipa Boyens, and Stephen Sinclair. The first of the three films, The Fellowship of the Ring, has been tentatively scheduled for release at Christmas next year. Ipak je u pitanju SF Akcija. :) Pa evo, pošto sam ja diskusiju i započeo, da dam i sopstveni sud: film je odličan, i uopšte nije za decu. Prvo, svaki ljubitelj SF-a priznaće da je film zanatsko remek-delo (u film je uloženo 80 miliona dolara, što je mnogo čak i u poređenju sa "Titanikovih" 200 ili Lukasovih 120; zarada "Matrixa" takođe se meri stotinama miliona dolara). Priča je vrlo metafizička, ponekad i bez osećaja za meru (naročito mi je smetalo što Lorens Fišburn stalno deklemuje opšta mesta i tautologije), ali je i kao takva pravo osveženje nakon poplave SF filmova bez duše ("Dan nezavisnosti", "Armagedon", "Deep Impact", "Space Soldiers", "Godzilla"...). Ideja da se u film ubaci gomila kung-fu sekvenci delovala mi je odvratno, sve dok nisam video kako to izgleda na platnu. Dodajte na to i mnogo inventivnih kadrova (zaustavljanje metaka u vazduhu pokretom ruke, helikopter iz koga pljušte prazne puščane čaure...), pa ćete imati vrlo malo opravdanja da film propustite. I verujte, ovo je jedan od retkih filmova (ako ne i jedini) u kojem drvenasti Keanu Rivs deluje ubedljivo (malo mu pomaže i Keri En Mos, bivša manekenka kojoj jako lepo stoji tesni komplet od kože ;) Ako ništa drugo, imaćete o čemu da razmišljate bar pola sata nakon filma, što mi se sa jednim SF-delom zadnji put desilo još kada sam gledao "Gataku". Makar na kraju zaključili da je film loš. "Matrix" su, inače, režirala braća Vahovski (Wachowsky) i to im je drugi takav posao u životu. Prvi je "Bound", lezbijski :) triler sa Đinom Geršon i Dženifer Tili, koji takođe vredi pogledati. Momke definitivno treba pratiti... P.S. "Matrix" je s lakoćom ušao na listu "Top 250" IMDB-a. To, naravno, ne znači mnogo, pošto se na njoj nalaze i potpuno kretenski filmovi kao što je, recimo, "Blair Witch Project".
