If there is requirement for more it's needed to place request for it in NET.CFG (or SHELL.CFG) file. SHELL.CFG is _old_ used name which is replaced by NET.CFG in last days. Command to place in there is FILE HANDLES=<m> and it will assure ability to open maximum of <m> files FROM NETWORK. ### Vidi ovo ### 3-> IMPORTANT NOTE. Files allocated in CONFIG.SYS by FILES=<n> and files allocated from network by FILE HANDLES=<m> are INDEPENDENT from each other. <n>+<m> MAY NOT exceed 254 and in old versions of Netware Shell (NETX) it will NOT give any warning when this is happening and will allocate just default (40 or even less). From this comment is also coming out one other warning, NUL device which is using file handle when opened more times is using ALWAYS local file handle and not Netware file handle when used for testing number of file handles available for opening. ### Inace... 3.11 nije ogranicio broj otvorenih fajlova, ali je taj broj ogra- nicen memorijom na serveru. 2.02 je ogranicen na 255 fajlova ali ima caka da se taj problem prevazidje ( QEMM ). Preporucujem gorecitirani NGUIDE.ART i ako ne radite na kliperu. Poruka je mozda trebala da bude adresirana na 7.503 petrovics.

Koliko sam primetio tu se definisu samo maksimalne dozvoljene vrednosti za broj otvorenih fajlova, zakljucanih fajlova, zakljucanih slogova... Nisam primetio da sa SET moze da se podesi koliko maksimalno fajlova moze da otvori svaka radna stanica po difoltu (difolt je izgleda 40 fajlova).

Ja imam stanice sa BOOT Rom om pa me zanima da li NED$DOS.SYS zna da pronadje SHELL.CFG, ili i on mora da se WSGEN-uje. B)ojan.

Subject: Novell Utility, bin, part 1/3 JRBUTILS v2.20 JRButils v2.20 comprises 54 utilities for managing Novell networks. This collection of utilities is in two parts: (1) Part A contains the 30 utilities which are available on the Internet in JRB220A.ZIP. Read CHANGES.TXT for details of new features and bug fixes. (2) Part B comprises 24 new utilities in JRB220B.ZIP. They are available from the author upon payment of a registration fee, and are described in the accompanying document JRB220B.TXT. All 54 utilities run under NW 2.1x, 2.2 and 3.x. They have undergone limited testing using the VLM's and under NW 4.01 bindery emulation. Shell.Cfg koriste i IPX i NETX, ali (mislim) liniju FILE HANDLES=xxx koristi samo NETX I.. kako meni ljudi nedavno ovde objasniše: Zbir fajlova iz Config.Sys i Shell.Cfg ne sme da pređe 255

Unesreci me nevjerovatna nepaznja: Bekap traka na kojoj sam imao godisnje podatke nekoliko firmi, obrisana je (ne pitajte zasto imam samo jednu). :( Radi se JUMBO bekap sistemu (250 MB). Na traku je trebalo da se snime jos neki podaci i zbog prijavljenog nedostatka prostora sistem inzenjer je odlucio da je obrise. Kaze da je upotrijebio QUICK, a ne SECURITY Erase. Nakon brisanja poceo je snimanje podataka za koje mu je prostor falio, ali je to prekinuto u dosta ranoj fazi, tako da sada uvid u direktorij prijavljuje da je traka prazna (obrisana). Ima li nade za ovu jadnicu ?
