Heh... Hill ne verujem da ima neke velike sanse ove sezone, osim ako
osude nekog iz Williamsa za ubistvo Senne... Ako Williams ostane bez
osudjenih (sto bas i ne bih voleo, mada mi je zao Zaka), bice opet
neprikosnoveni... Eventualno neke sanse ima Flavio, mada ne verujem
pored Alezija i Bergera koji su teski baxuzi...

Vilnev ce ove godine jurisati na titulu! Schumacher ce pokusati da ga
zaustavi ali tesko da ce Sch. nesto uraditi sto se tice titule! HH Frentzen
bi mogao da se umesa u trku za titulu...

Najveće šanse ima Šumaher,dosta je napredovao u toku sezone,setimo
se samo ferarija na početku sezone i na kraju.Hill je odličan vozač
ali u novom timu ima male šanse da odbrani titulu.Villnev je glavni
konkurent Šumaheru,ali ipak odlučiće iskustvo.
Tipujem na Šumahera,ali navijam za Hill-a.

Na onoj prezentaciji Red Bulla, održanoj pre koji mesec,
dovezli su bolid formule 1 i slikali malog Topalovića sa
njim. Da li je to nagoveštaj neke buduće saradnje, ili
čisto marketinški potez?
Bilo bi lepo, kad bi mali ušao sad u recimo Formulu 3, a
za koju godinu (kad jel'te osvoji šampionat ;) da pređe
u F1.

DAVID COULTHARD !!! Neverovatno, McLaren osvaja jos jednu pobedu. Schumacher
je bio drugi, Hakkinen treci. Hill nije ni poceo trku, Villeneuve se slupao,
Frentzen i Alesi takodje. Moje misljenje je da se Villeneuve nije slupao tako
rano da bi on ovo glatko dobio sa 25 sekundi prednosti. Ali ovako, svejedno,
veliki uspeh McLarena posle dugo vremena. :)

jer vidim nije bilo prenosa, a Edvards je komentarisao C.A.R.T. trku u
Majamiju (koju je Andretti glatko dobio :), a uostalom nisam video ni
jednu reklamu za formulu ove godine na EuroSportu... :((

Aktuelni sampion Hill... Strasno slabo. Nisam mnogo ocekivao od njega,
ali ono je bilo strasno. Podseca na nekoga iz prosle sezone ;>>>
Mladi Vilnev - startovao malo traljavo, izleteo u prvom krugu... Ne znam,
meni je licilo da je to neki podli zahvat Sumahera, ali mozda samo zato
sto ga ja mrzim... Mozda nisam objektivan. U svakom slucaju, velika steta
za Zaka.
Frentzen - Odlican start, odlicna taktika, ali slabe kocnice. Na pocetku
stekao dobru prednost, 2 zaustavljanja u boxu su bila mnogo dobro osmisljena
ali mehanicari nespretni pri drugom pit-stopu. Jos posle toga, vrlo brzo
hvata prikljuchak za borbu za 1. mesto, ali hga ocigledno bije maler.
Kultard - Svaka cast. Nema sta da se zameri. Bila je manja greska u
poslednjim krugovima koja ga je mogla stajati pobede, ali sve je dobro
ispalo. Sve najbolje njemu i Mclarenu.
Alezi - Malerozan kao i uvek. Ne moze da zavrsi pa to ti je.
Berger - Sta ja znam... Tu i tamo, mada je Beneton sve gori i gori.
Hakinen - Dobro odvozio, nema sta. Bez greske. Nadao sam se da ce da
prestigne Sumahera posle drugog pit-stopa, ali nista od toga. Lose gume
su ga zadrzale na 3. mestu.
Sumaher - Kao i uvek -- vozi ko masina. Bez greske, i bas zato ga ne volim.
Kiks Ferarija ga je mogao stajati drugog mesta, ali ipak dosta dosta srece.
Opsti utisak o trci: Solidna trka. Neizvesna do izletanja Frencena, ali
me je start odusevio. Svi favoriti su poizletali na pocetku. Ali, sta je

On the parade lap everyone got away cleanly from the line. All seemed well
till the current World Champion (who had a torrid time yesterday) pulled off
to the side of the track. It was later confirmed that he had suffered a lack
of throttle. The grid formed, and all were ready for the start, and as the
lights went out it was Frentzen who took the lead. After a weekend of
Villeneuve getting the upper hand on the German it now the Canadians turn to
be rattled.
And rattled he was. Going into the first corner Irvine, Herbert and
Villeneuve were together in a move that was never going to work. Herbert and
Villeneuve retired on the spot, Irvine a few corners later. The two Jordans
were also scything their way through the field. It was to be short lived for
Ralf Schumacher, as was soon out of the race. H-H continued to pull away at
the front and started to produce a good lead over Coulthard in second place
and Schumacher in 3rd. By lap 4 Verstappen was also out after leaving the
track rather spectacularly for the kitty litter. Nakano also joins in the
fun, but doesn't quite understand the rules and survives to try again
later.
By lap 6 it was Frentzen, Coulthard, Schumacher, Hakkinen, Alesi, Berger,
Panis, and Larini. On lap 7 Frentzen put in a 1m32.56 for the fastest lap
at that point. By lap 10 Frentzen was well and truly in command and pulling
out a very useful 16 second lead over Coulthard. Coulthard had Schumacher to
worry about behind him with a gap of only 1 second. By lap 12 Frentzen had
17 seconds over Coulthard. Behind Coulthard it was a lot closer with the
top 6 covered by a handful of seconds. Diniz decided on lap 13 to join in
the off roadsters, and survived to tell the tale. Fisichella meanwhile made
a far more lurid move on Barrichello and spun off in front of him and out.
He had dived down the inside of the Stewart, but had no time left to brake,
and so locked up and out.
Frentzen was firmly in control at the front when he came upon backmarkers
on lap 16. By lap 18 he had pitted and was out again. This allowed David
Coulthard into the lead with Schumacher behind in 2nd. Frentzen was now
after Schumacher and made some progress over a few laps.
The order was now Coulthard, Schumacher, Frentzen, Hakkinen, Alesi, Berger,
Larini, Barrichello, Panis, Salo, Magnussen, and Katayama. Schumacher was
busy getting messages to the pit by hand actions. By lap 24 Coulthard was
pulling away from Frentzen, but not from Schumacher too well. They then
came upon Katayama and managed to scrap through, closely followed by a
battle with Barrichello who let them through with no problems.
On lap 28, Coulthard showed that he mean business by setting a 1m31.412
fastest lap. On lap 29, Berger pitted from 6th place, with Ferrari ready
for Schumacher. The order was now Coulthard, Schumacher, Frentzen, Hakkinen,
Alesi and Berger. On lap 31, Schumacher pitted and was out in around 11
seconds. He was now charging back, and wanted to get by Nakano, who in the
process of giving the space was forced off the track by Schumacher. Word was
now coming that Alesi had been given the "IN" board for many laps, but
resolutely was refusing to obey it. He was to rue that move on lap 33 when
he pulled off the track - out of fuel.
By lap 34, Frentzen was back in the lead after stops, and set a 1m30.780
fastest lap. By lap 38 he had pulled out a useful gap over Coulthard in
second place of 23 seconds, with Schumacher and Hakkinen in pursuit. On
lap 41 Williams were ready for a pit stop, and duly he pitted for his second
stop compared to the others 1. Head was not impressed with the progress of
his charge, but was even more disgusted with a locking right rear wheel
costing the team an extra 7 seconds. Coulthard and Schumacher had took the
place.
It was now Coulthard, Schumacher, Frentzen, Hakkinen, Berger and Panis
making up the top 6, with Frentzen making some progress but not enough it
was thought. Through the forties Coulthard kept Schumacher in check, and he
in turn kept Frentzen in check. None of them seemed interested in making a
move on the other. As lap 51 appeared Frentzen started to push on
Schumacher, when Schumacher pitted! The team had had a problem with the fuel
rig earlier, and was now paying the price, with a late splash and dash.
This, however, was nothing compared to Frentzens drama on lap 56 when his
left front brake disk exploded and spun him off the track. It was a cruel
blow for the German. And so Coulthard now had 23 seconds over Schumacher and
sailed to a well deserved victory. The first for McLaren since 1993, and the
first for Mercedes for 40 years.

than when I won my first grand prix for Williams.
One, because it was a little bit unexpected here
after the first race, especially after the
qualifying form of the Williams and I guess I've got
Eddie to thank for causing a bit of agrivation at
the first corner.
Q Going back to the first corner, that provided quite
a big advantage for you.
DC That's right. I was alongside Michael and trying to
decide what to do before entering the corner and
then Eddie came flying down on the inside so I just
thought keep out of trouble and it worked to my
advantage.
Q Were you surprised later on in the race when you
didn't see Heinz-Harold Frentzen coming out in front
of you after his second stop?
DC Yeah. I was very surprised because he pulled away a
lot at the start. Obviously he was on a two stop
strategy so that helped him and I expected that he'd
be able to pit and come out still in the lead, but I
was leading for the most part of the race and when I
saw him come up towards the end I thought that maybe
there'd be some trouble but the gap wasn't really
coming down that quickly and he had to obviously get
by Michael as well.
Q Were you aware that he had gone of the track towards
the end of the race?
DC Yeah, was it him at the first corner? One minute he
was 2 seconds behind me and then the next minute he
was gone and I saw some dust down there so I
presumed he went off at the first corner.
Q David, congratulations.
Q Michael, you were on David's tail pretty much for
the whole race. Are you pleased to be second today?
MS Yeah, I mean there was no chance to get any better
position. I was a bit unpleased obviously when I had
to come in again to the pits because it would have
meant I lose the second position. Obviously
Heinz-Harold went off and I could rejoin in second
position. I wasn't hoping for more to be honest the
podium was the maximum I was hoping for. We acheived
that. Good points, so a good start to the season.
Q When Heinz-Harold came up behind you, did you think
he was going to be able to get past?
MS I knew I was quicker than David but I knew I didn't
have any chance to pass him so the same was for
Heinz-Harold.
Q Did you have any trouble at the start of the race
because it was a bit messy there at the first
corner?
MS I just took off badly, that was the only trouble I
had, which I have to say luckily I took off badly
otherwise Eddie would have taken off myself as well.
MH I don't think it could have been much better than
this. Of course I would prefer to swap the places
with David but for the team it's fantastic. All the
hard work that's been going through the test
sessions and many years, it's started paying off
now. It's just fabulous. I'm just really happy, a
little bit emotional also because it's been a tough
time many years.

Nije bila greška u proračunu, Alezija su zvali par puta u boks, ali on
nije hteo da uđe, pa je par krugova kasnije parkirao bolid. Kažu da je
Flavio bio vrlo ljut na njega...

Nije on baksuz, već izgleda da mu glava baš ne radi najbolje. Često
izaziva incidente, ili gluposti kao ovaj na zadnjoj trci, i zbog toga
od njega verovatno nikad neće biti ništa. Imaće par dobrih trka u
karijeri bez ikakvog rezultata.

Najtrofejniji je Ferrari sa 8 titula ako ni zbog čega onda bar zato što
proizvode i motore i šasije, McLaren ima 8 ali sa različitim
proizvođačima motora. Mislim da Ford ima 12, kao proizvođač motora i da

Žak Vilnev je ponovo napao Ferarijevog vozača Edija Irvajna, koji ga je
izgurao sa staze na prvoj krivini u Australiji.
Vilnev: Nijedan vozač ga ne voli. Kada neko napravi ozbiljnu grešku zato
što ne misli a onda konstantno optužuje druge, to postaje pomalo dosadno.
Nekoliko puta prošle sezone je dovodio sebe u takvu poziciju, dodao je
Vilnev.
Džoni Herbert, koji je takođe izguran od strane Irvajna je naglasio:
Edi se zaista ponekad ponaša kao idiot. Ljut sam na njega, ali ne zbog
onoga što je učinio. On je takav, podivlja s vremena na vreme. Besan sam
zato što nikad ne priznaje da je napravio grešku.
Za sada nikakve sankcije protiv Irvajna nisu preduzete od strane
zvaničnika FIA-e.

Beneton je ljut na Žana Alezija zbog greške koju je napravio u toku trke

je bio vrlo jasan: "On čak nije video našeg dvometraša Nika Virta koji

Čekaj, Panis nije nikakav vozač, običan prosek (iliti presek :),
bio je znatno sporiji od favorita i uopšte onih ispred njega,
nije uleteo ni u jedan sudar, vozikao se okolo i pobedio. Posle
trke od njega napraviše heroja, i rekoše kako je on sam uspeo
da nadvlada ostale vozače (čini mi se još trojica su ostala u
trci :) i da osvoji grand prix. Po meni, ta pobeda uopšte nije

Bogami, ne sećaš se ti one trke uopšte ;) Pošto sam i onda navijao
za Ligier-Mugen pažljivo sam pratio Panisa. Činjenice su da:
- odlično poznaje stazu u Monaku i uz to mu je legla kiša po kojoj
zna da vozi
- u toj trci je 4-5 puta obarao najbrži krug (ipak nije ga držao do
kraja trke pošto se staza prosušila i skinuo ga je mislim Alezi pred
kraj trke)
- iako je staza u MC vrlo zajebana za obilaženje on je imao ubedljivo
najviše preticanja van boksa (_dva puta_ Irvajna, pre i posle njegovog
odlaska u boks, jednom Kultarda i još par, kojih se ne sećam ovako iz
glave ali znam da sam skakao sa stolice ;).
Panis je u Monte-Karlu odvezao verovatno najbolju trku u karijeri
i ne može se reći da se tek tako vozikao do pobede. Seti se da su
kada je on nailazio pokazivali nekim mnogo poznatijim vozačima plavu
zastavu da se sklone. Takođe, među četvoricom koja su završila trku
bio je i Dejvid Kultard pa što nije pobedio?
E sad, nisam lud da mislim da bi pobedio čak i da su Hil (ne svojom
krivicom) i Šumaher (u krivini se skreće ;) ostali u trci, ali je među
ostalim vozačima ubedljivo dominirao dok je staza bila mokra. Posle je
samo Alezi bio ispred njega dok nije odustao ali je Panis i dalje
_čvrsto_ držao "priključak" (onaj lančani sudar nije uopšte uticao na
njegovu poziciju jer je bio daleko ispred kolone).

He, ajd kad ti kazesh.. Ja se takodje secam iste trke, i
isto tako dobro znam da je Panis ishao u box malko vishe puta od
svih ostalih, pa nije ni chudo shto je mogao da pretiche sa lakshim
bolidom i sa svezijim gumama od ostalih. Taj ne bi bio iznad 5.
mesta da su svi zavrshili trku. Ovo shto rekoh podrazumeva i
najbrze krugove koje je vozio: malo goriva i sveze gume chine chuda
po tom pitanju, mada je Alesi odvezo bolji krug i pored svega.
Chisto je imao srece zato shto na stazi nije bilo puno bolida pa je
mogao da iskoristi prednosti taktike sa vishe odlazaka u boks do
maksimuma..

Mozda je i ta "sreca" deo taktike ?!?!?! :)
Je*es Reno i Ferrari kad im stalno riknjavaju motori, Sumi se kurci i oce
odmah da pobedi, Hakkinen nema srece, kao ni Alesi. Da ne nabrajam vise mislim
da je zasluzeno pobedio i sta jos da se kaze.
Zasluzeno jer je Hondica [:*] izdrzala sve pritiske, a taktika je bila
odlicna jer svaka malo veca budala za F1 zna da u Monaku u zadnjih 5-10 godina
ne zavrsi trku bar pola bolida, neretko i vise od pola, a ni ta trka nije bila
neki izuzetak. To znaci manje bolida tj, manje guzve, manje ometanja, vece
brzine i naravno bolja vremena.

Prvo preticanje Irvajna se ne može nazvati preticanjem, jer je Panis
"blago" odgurnuo Irvajna i prošao pored njega, mislim da je to bilo u

čega je Irvajn otišao u box. Ili je to možda bilo drugo preticanje :)?

Da, najbolju trku... Poštujem ja što si ti navijao za njega, ali mora
se priznati da nije vozio tako dobro kao što ti kažeš. Pogledaj još
jednom start, koji je bio na njemu, i koji je bio u prvoj krivini.
Loše. Dalje tokom trke uopšte nije napredovao, čak je pao jedno mesto
(ne sećam se tačno, oprostite ako grešim), ali je već kod prvih pit-
stopova počeo da se penje. Razlog: odustajanje velikog broja vozača :).

Zato što je on još kilaviji od Panisa ;). NEgo, nevezano za ovo, sećate
li se zadnje Kultardove trke za Williams, Adelaide. Čovek je pri ulasku
u box nastavio pravo umesto da skrene desno i zabio se u zid. E, mislio
sam da je to njegova greška, ali se ispostavilo da je ulje na stazi.
No, ja sam i dalje mislio suprotno, do pre neki dan, kada se i meni desila
slična stvar (dobro, ne u bolidu F1, već u mom Passatu), kada sam u
desnoj "U" krivini, pri samom izlasku iz nje, produžio pravo, iz istog
razloga kao i Dejvid :). Jedva sam izvukao kola iz jendeka :)).

nadash da cesh makar da istrajesh do kraja, sigurno necesh da idesh
u boks vishe puta, i to u boks koji je sklepan,a ne pravi regularni
boks kao na ostalim stazama, nego cesh bogme da stavish vishe
goriva, tvrdje gume i polako.. A Panis je na gomili trka vozio sa
vishe pitstopova, i to izgleda zato shto je LIgier malko vishe
habao gume, a ne zbog njihove taktike i evetualne prednosti nad
ostalima usled korishcenja iste. (al sklepah rechenicu..)

On je pobedio i ti mozes samo da ga mrzis (sto najverovatnije i jeste tacno).
Hondica je izdrzala, Panis je pobedio, i tacka(.) .

p.s. To za gume: neverujem da ih Ligier vise trosi od ostalih, jer su svi (do
ove godine) imali iste gume. Panis nema neki "besan" stil voznje (tipa Alesi)
vec on rano koci pred krivinama i ne ulece u njih sa 300 na sat (fraza).

CART Refines Restart Procedures for Oval and Road Course Events
CART Online (March 25,1997) -- Championship Auto Racing Teams has
amended its race restart procedures following a meeting of the CART
Board of Directors held on Thursday, March 20.
Restart procedures have been amended for oval track events as well as
road course events within 35 miles of their conclusion. On ovals, as
soon as a caution flag has been displayed, the pace car will be
dispatched and the pits will be closed. Once the pace car catches up
with the field, it will pass all backmarkers until it picks up the
race leader.
After the pace car picks up the leader, the remainder of the field
will line up behind the leader in single file. At that point, the pits
will open to all cars on the lead lap. On the following lap, the pits
will open to all cars in the field. When exiting the pits, all cars
will rejoin the field at the back of the line.
When the starter displays crossed flags, the cars will begin to align
themselves for the restart. All cars between the pace car and the
leader will be sent around the pace car and complete a lap in
preparation for proper realignment. The leader will drop to the inside
of the track, and all cars on the lead lap will go low and queue up
behind him, in running order.
Cars not on the lead lap will go high and join the back of the upper
line. They will not be aligned in running order. When the cars are
aligned properly, the starter will signal one lap until the green
flag, at the Chief Steward's discretion. The pace car will turn its
lights out and proceed to the pits, after which the green flag will be
thrown.
At road course events with fewer than 35 miles remaining, the pace car
will be dispatched as soon as a full-course yellow flag has been
displayed. The pits will remain open, subject to the leader's position
on the track. Once dispatched, the pace car will pick up either a) the
leader, b) the car on-track directly behind the leader, or c) the
leader exiting the pits.
The cars will line up in single file behind the pace car, after which
the pace car will pass around all cars between itself and the leader.
All cars passed by the pace car must go to the back of the line. Cars
on the lead lap which have not been passed around move forward behind
the leader in running order. At road course events with more than 35
miles remaining, the field will not be realigned.
When the cars are aligned properly, the starter will signal one lap
until the green flag, at the Chief Steward's discretion. The pace car
will turn its lights out and proceed to the pits, after which the
green flag will be thrown.
"These restart procedures will be faster to organize, simpler to
communicate from Race Control, easier for the fans to understand and
will reduce the risk of error," said Dennis Swan, CART chief steward,
in describing the revisions.
The 1997 PPG CART World Series continues with the Sunbelt IndyCarnival
Australia on Sunday, Apr. 6 at Surfers Paradise in Queensland,
Australia.
