Graduated (1923) and earned doctorate (1928) University
of Chicago. Taught at New York University (1926-38), at

of 'Growth of the American Republic' (1930). Wrote
'The American Mind' (1950), 'Freedom, Loyalty, Dissent'
(1954), 'Nature and Problems of History' (1965),

Commager, Henry Steele (1902- ), American historian and educator, born
in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on October 25, 1902, and educated at the
universities of Copenhagen and Chicago. He was a member of the history
department at New York University from 1929 to 1938, professor of
history at Columbia University from 1938 to 1956, and at Amherst College
from 1956 to 1972. A brilliant writer as well as an impeccable
historian, Commager has often collaborated with other notable historians
and is regarded as one of the foremost authorities on American history.
Among his many works are The Growth of the American Republic (2 vol.,
1930-39; 6th ed., 1969), written in collaboration with Samuel Eliot
Morison; The Heritage of America (1939), with Allan Nevins; Freedom,
Loyalty, Dissent (1954); The Commonwealth of Learning (1968); and
Jefferson, Nationalism, and the Enlightenment (1974). He also wrote a
series of books on American history for children.

Zamolio bih za jednu uslugu. Naime prijatelj se interesuje za izdavaca
pod nazivom "IQ-media" (nadam se da sam dobro spelovao :), preciznije
interesuje gde se mogu kupiti njegova izdanja.
Dakle, adresa neke knjizare ili samom izdavaca (zasto da ne?) je vrlo
dobrodosla. A mozda neko ima i pri ruci spisak izdanja?
( Naravno ovo na mail, da ne bila reklama :)
... i nadam se da nisam promasio konferenciju, ali zaista nisam ideju
gde bih ovako nesto mogao da upitam?

Ne znam za izdanja, ali IQ Media se nalazi na Trgu Marksa i Engelsa (dakle
trgu Nikole Pašića) 5/VIII. Ili se baš nalazila.
